Desde el debut de Tyler Hoechlin como Superman y Bitsie Tulloch como Lois Lane, somos muchos los que hemos clamado que The CW le dé su oportunidad a estos dos personajes, y tal parece que nuestras plegarias fueron escuchadas. Y es que según se dio a conocer el día de hoy, la cadena se encuentra desarrollando Superman & Lois, una nueva serie enfocada en Clark Kent y Lois Lane, protagonizada por Tulloch y Hoechlin, y producida por Todd Helbing (The Flash), Geoff Johns y Greg Berlanti, creador de todas las series del Arrowverse.

El show será escrito por Helbing y nos mostrará al héroe más famoso y a la reportera más intrépida del universo de DC mientras lidian con todo el estrés, las presiones y la complejidad de ser padres trabajadores en la sociedad actual.

A diferencia del spin-off de Arrow, que será transmitido como un episodio dentro de la temporada final del show, Superman & Lois se está desarrollando como un proyecto aparte. Por supuesto, cómo estos dos personajes podrían encajar con el resto del Arrowverse, dependerá de lo que ocurra en la Crisis en Tierras Infinitas, el venidero crossover de Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman y Legends of Tomorrow.

Por su parte, tanto Tyler Hoechlin como Bitsie Tulloch aprovecharon sus redes sociales para expresar su agradecimiento por tener una nueva oportunidad para sus personajes en la pantalla, demostrando que saben encarnar a la perfección a Lois y Clark.

I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to tell this story, that for now shall remain a secret. But I’ve been blessed with nothing less than the most wonderful people to do it alongside of. I had no idea this picture existed when someone grabbed the shot of Bitsie and I on the monitor, and I just noticed today the resemblance of my expression to that of Mr. Reeves. Had to share. Tendremos que esperar un poco más para ver a esta nueva iteración de estos clásicos personajes de DC Comics y, con suerte, The CW le otorgará a Superman & Lois la misma oportunidad que al resto de sus superhéroes en pantalla.
